WHEN PLANS CHANGE

Laundry can move.
Bin day stays put.

If the sheets get washed on Saturday, the next wash can start from Saturday. The bins still go out on their usual weekday.

Set each chore to repeat after it’s done or on a fixed date. If you miss one, it stays a single task until you deal with it.

Know who’s doing what.

Agree who’s taking care of each chore. Leave other jobs open for anyone to pick up.

01 / PREPARE

Order the filter
before you need it.

Save a filter size, part number, or photo with the task. Check what you need before replacement day.

02 / REMEMBER

Check when a job
was last done.

Every completion saves the date in your household history. Keep notes with the task so they’re there next time.

GETTING STARTED

A few chores
is a good start.

QUESTIONS

Before you sign up.

How is this different from a shared list?

A repeating chore gets its next due date when you finish or skip it. Choose a fixed schedule for bin day or an interval that starts after the work is done. Assign the chore and keep any part details with it.

What happens when we miss a chore?

It stays one open task. Snooze it until you have time, or skip that occurrence. Chores that repeat after completion start their next interval when you finish. Fixed-date chores keep their usual schedule.

Can I start on my own?

Yes. Start with your own chores. You can invite another adult later by entering their email and sharing the invitation message. They join with their own account after verifying that email.

YOUR INFORMATION

Your data in MostlyNeat.

MostlyNeat uses individual accounts to share routines within a household. Household members can see the plan and the work recorded there.

Export and deletion controls are available in the app. For the details, open Help & your data from Sign in or Settings.

Your account, household records, and saved photos are stored using Google Firebase. Loaded records can also be cached on your device.

Optional photo suggestions and appliance research send the photos or details you choose to Google’s AI services. Review suggestions and their sources before applying them.

Deleting an account removes its access and profile. Completed work stays in shared history with your name removed. Limited deletion records are retained to prevent stale requests from recreating deleted records.
